Heidi is currently at the vet getting treatment. We would like to give a special thank you to Friends of Rescue Animals for helping Heidi and covering the cost of her surgery to amputate her injured leg. We greatly appreciate their support and everything they do to help animals in need.

A Foster has been found for Heidi, and we will post updates on her progress as we receive them.

This is Heidi, a sweet 1-2 year old St Bernard mix in need of as much help as you can provide. She was brought in this morning and we immediately took her to the Vet for examination. She will be having the remainder of her rear leg amputated, and will be on pain meds and antibiotics while she recovers.

We are looking for a local, long term foster who will be able to take care of a large dog while she recovers. Medication and food will be provided for this time which we estimate to be 2-3+ months.

Caramel's Diary ~Today was SUCH an exciting day! šŸ¾šŸ›

I got to go on a little adventure to Pet Supplies Plus and, guess what?! I got a bath! I was so happy just to get out for a few hours, sniff all the good smells, see new things, meet all the new people, and spend some time feeling extra special. ā¤ļø

But you know what Iā€™m really dreaming about? Doing all of this with my forever family. šŸ’“

Iā€™m still waiting at Wylie Animal Shelter for someone to choose me. Iā€™m adoptable, Iā€™m full of love, and I canā€™t wait for the day my next adventure is going home. šŸ”ā¤ļø

Thank you to everyone for helping Wylie Animal Shelter's Clear the Shelter month be such a success this year. With your combined help, we found furrever homes for 40 animals, which included 29 cats and 11 dogs. In addition, your donations continue to assist us in providing the best environment for all the animals that we take in.

We still have a few cats currently available and 15+ dogs still looking for a family. Come by and meet them Monday - Saturday morning 9 am to 11:30 am and 1:30 pm to 5 pm.

Once again, everyone here at Wylie Animal Services appreciates and is grateful for our community and all your support. Thank you!
