Overview: On November 4, 2025, the City acquired 26263 Forest Blvd., which will be remodeled for our new Police Department and City Hall offices. To keep local costs down, Council approved to complete this in two phases. Phase one is expected to cost about $9.3 million.

We know that this may be an adjustment for our residents and businesses, so here's a quick overview of what this ban means:

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄:
• Lawn watering is 𝗡𝗢𝗧 permitted for those on 𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿
• Hand watering 𝗜𝗦 allowed using a hose or watering container held 𝗶𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱
• Water toys and sprinklers 𝗔𝗥𝗘 permitted when children are 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘆 playing
• Residents on private wells are 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗱 in this mandatory ban
• This ban remains in place until further notice and may continue into 2027
• If you are seeding or sodding, you may apply for an 𝗲𝘅𝗲𝗺𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗶𝘁

𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲? 🤔
• The Wyoming City Council instituted this temporary ban in response to the DNR's drought warning conditions
• Public water suppliers are required to reduce water usage -- we are currently using approximately 630,000 gallons/day, and we need to reduce that amount to 415,000 gallons/day

💧 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗽 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘀! The best way to reduce our water usage is by temporarily limiting lawn sprinkling throughout the city. Thank you for helping us conserve water and doing your part to support our community!

There is a lot to learn out here! Come join us for a hayride through our pumpkin patch and see for yourself. We’ll show you the inside of an inactive bee hive as well as make some stops for pumpkins and Indian corn along the way.

Here's your annual PSA 📣 to check your home's faucet filters, aerators, and screens. Debris and minerals can get built up and cause low water pressure, blockages, and discolored water. Take some time this weekend to give them a good soak and scrub. 🛀🚿💦

This means more children on the streets and more busses! 🏃🚌 Please be aware of your surroundings and aware of the school bus laws.
• Motorists must be at least 20' from a school bus that is displaying red flashing lights, regardless of whether or not the stop arm has been extended, when approaching from the rear and from the opposite direction on undivided roads
• Watch for school crossing patrols and pedestrians
• Reduce speeds in and around school zones

Thank you Leo for your courage, compassion, and willingness to help someone in need. ❤️💜

At Tuesday night’s City Council meeting, we had the opportunity to recognize Leo Lyons with a Life Saving Medal for his actions during a violent incident in our community earlier this year.

Leo was working as a package delivery driver when he came upon an assault in progress at a residence. He saw that a woman had been seriously injured and that the suspect was armed with a hammer. Leo stepped in, confronted the suspect, secured the weapon, called 911, and remained on scene until public safety personnel arrived.

His willingness to get involved helped stop the assault and likely prevented even more serious injuries.

We’re incredibly grateful Leo was there that day and proud to recognize his courage, compassion, and willingness to help someone in need.
