Happy FriYAY Godwin family! Nope, we’re not at school & most of our students are probably sleeping, but Facebook never sleeps, right? Today, Ms. Thomas simply wants to send a message of gratitude.
THANK YOU Godwin community for sharing these FANTABULOUS students with me. As a Mom of 2 adult boys & 2 young grand daughters, I understand the importance of having a supportive yet stern school staff. After one month in the Godwin District and 2 weeks with students, they have my heart. Correction: They have my WHOLE heart. And then some. Your children have been THE most respectful group of students I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. Those who know me know that I’ll go to the ends of the Earth for a child—and this means ALL of my Godwin babies.
THANK YOU to my Middle School Wolverines for welcoming me, helping me navigate my job, and for not yelling at me when I’m not looking up to unlock the office door! I love you all. To my Middle School parents, THANK YOU for your patience with me as I learn a new community, new zip codes, and new languages. It isn’t easy, but the grace you’ve shown me I’m forever thankful for.
I’ll always do the best I can for your child. They’ll always know they matter and that “Ms. Thomas sees me”. Have a safe, peaceful, relaxing holiday weekend!

¡Feliz viernes, familia Godwin! No, no estamos en la escuela y la mayoría de nuestros alumnos probablemente estén durmiendo, pero Facebook nunca duerme, ¿verdad? Hoy, la Sra. Thomas simplemente quiere enviar un mensaje de gratitud.
GRACIAS, comunidad de Godwin, por compartir a estos alumnos tan FANTÁSTICOS conmigo. Como madre de dos hijos adultos y abuela de dos nietas pequeñas, entiendo la importancia de contar con un personal escolar que brinde apoyo pero que también sea firme. Tras un mes en el Distrito Godwin y dos semanas con los alumnos, ya se han ganado mi corazón. Corrección: Se han ganado mi corazón ENTERO. Y más aún. Sus hijos han sido el grupo de alumnos MÁS respetuoso que he tenido el placer de conocer. Quienes me conocen saben que iría hasta el fin del mundo por un niño; y eso incluye a todos mis "pequeños" de Godwin. Gracias a mis alumnos de secundaria (los *Wolverines*) por recibirme, ayudarme a desenvolverme en mi trabajo y por no gritarme cuando no levanto la vista para abrir la puerta de la oficina. Los quiero a todos. A los padres de secundaria: GRACIAS por su paciencia mientras aprendo sobre una nueva comunidad, nuevos códigos postales y nuevos idiomas. No es fácil, pero estaré eternamente agradecida por la amabilidad que me han demostrado. Siempre haré lo mejor que pueda por sus hijos. Ellos siempre sabrán que son importantes y que la "Sra. Thomas los ve". ¡Que tengan un fin de semana largo seguro, tranquilo y relajante!
