An unseasonably hot start to September is bringing high temperatures and rising humidity to many parts of the country this week.

On 8-30-26 a cell phone was collected as lost and found by the Greene County Sheriff’s Office during a social event on Hyde Rd. If you believe that this is your phone, please contact the Property Room Manager at 937-562-5822. You must be able to accurately describe the phone (color, brand, and/or markings) and the area that it was lost in order to claim it. Please reference report #26-37735 when calling or leaving a message.

Members of the Greene County Sheriff's Office will be participating in the Pay it Forward Contest during National Everybody Eats Week.

We would like to encourage members of our community to stop by One Bistro (87 E. Main Street, Xenia) tomorrow, WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 26th from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Enjoy a great meal - good conversation and PAY IT FORWARD!

National Everybody Eats Week is a nationally coordinated campaign to help individuals understand the power they have to build community, ensure a table for everybody, and end hunger.

Effective Monday, August 31st there will be new CCW/Webcheck hours.

We will now be open Monday-Thursday 8 am – 3 pm by appointment. Friday will still be a walk-in day for Greene Co residents 8-3.

Ink fingerprint cards do not require an appointment but are only done Mon-Fri from 9 am – noon for Greene Co residents ONLY.
