Collaborative Problem-Solving in Action at Cox
Last week, students in Mrs. Frederick’s second-grade class at Cox Elementary tackled the "Save Fred" STEM challenge. Working in teams, students were tasked with rescuing a stranded gummy worm, Fred, and putting on his life preserver using only four paper clips — without touching or harming Fred in the process.

Exercises like this build critical soft skills early on, including communication, teamwork, and problem-solving. Way to go, Bucs!

Starting senior year on a high note! 🍳✨
On Friday, August 28, Xenia High School opened its doors for a special inaugural Senior Breakfast. Members of the Class of 2027 invited their grandparent or other special mentor to share a delicious breakfast buffet — complete with custom omelets made by Chef Brandon!

The morning offered a wonderful space to bring early elementary school traditions full circle as seniors prepare for their final year at XHS.

A Bright Start at Xenia Preschool!
The hallways of Xenia Preschool were filled with big smiles, bright eyes, and plenty of excitement as we officially kicked off the new school year for our Preschool students on Tuesday!

Opening day is always a milestone moment, especially as we welcome the district’s youngest learners into our classrooms. From exploring new learning stations and making new friends to getting to know their wonderful teachers, our students jumped right into the fun with energy and curiosity. Our dedicated staff worked hard to create a warm, welcoming environment where every child felt right at home from the moment they walked through the doors.

It was a fantastic first day, setting a positive tone for a fun, successful, and memorable year of learning and growth ahead.
