Ms. Early’s Environmental Science classes recently got hands-on with a fun (and delicious!) activity by creating soil parfaits! 🌱🍫 Students used edible ingredients to represent the different layers of soil, helping them better understand soil.🍪🌎

GCCC’s new Student Culture Club has been busy! A few members attended this month’s Board of Education meeting to share what they’ve been working on.

Beavercreek seniors McKinlee Mills (Veterinary Science) and Carson Hagens (Sports and Exercise Science), both HOSA presidents, joined club advisors Mr. Adrian Warfield and Mrs. Abby Barrett to highlight activities ranging from Spirit Week to the upcoming Day of the Dead for Pets celebration.

The club is already making an impact by building school spirit, bringing students together, and creating opportunities for involvement. We’re proud of these student leaders, grateful for their advisors, and excited to see what they do next!

🌶️🔥 Things got a little spicy at GCCC today!

Our staff brought the heat during today's Professional Development Day with a chili cook-off, and Mr. Picard and Mrs. Unger cleaned house! 🏆

After some serious taste-testing, the results were in:

🏆 Best Overall: Mr. Picard – Smoked Over the Top Chili
🔥 Hottest Chili: Mr. Picard – Smoked Over the Top Chili
😋 Best Flavor: Mrs. Unger – “Some Like It Hot”
❤️ Staff Fan Favorite: Mrs. Unger – “Some Like It Hot”

Congratulations to our winners, and thank you to everyone who brought their best recipes to the table! Nothing like a little friendly competition and some delicious chili to spice up a PD Day! 🌶️

Throwback Thursday! Earlier this month, GCCC partnered with the Greene County Board of Developmental Disabilities to host the 2nd Annual Greene County Community Resource & Transition Expo!

The event brought together individuals of all ages and abilities, families and local organizations to share valuable resources, build connections and celebrate accessibility and inclusion.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this event a success! We’re proud to be part of a community that works together to create opportunities for all!

Throughout the week of October 26–30, students are encouraged to bring in a photo and a special memory of a pet who has passed away to be displayed in our cafeteria in recognition of Day of the Dead for Pets. Together, we'll celebrate the love and joy our furry friends brought into our lives.

🐶🐱 Our Student Culture Club and Veterinary Science lab are also collecting new treats, toys and beds to donate to the Greene County Humane Society to help animals in need.

Let's honor the pets we've loved while making a difference for those still waiting for their forever homes! 🧡
