📢 Yadkin County Water Customers

On Thursday, September 3, 2026, beginning around 4:00 PM, Yadkin County customers located along the Highway 21 waterline may experience a temporary disruption in water service.

This interruption is necessary as part of the ongoing Jonesville Waterline Rehabilitation Project. Contractors will be working until water service is restored.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience and understanding as this important work is completed.

🚧 ROAD CONSTRUCTION NOTICE — BOONVILLE

📢 Attention Boonville-area residents and motorists!

The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) has issued a notice regarding road construction through the Town of Boonville today.

Motorists traveling through the area should be prepared for possible traffic impacts and delays and are encouraged to use caution when traveling through the work zone.

When you purchase an applicable item online and have it shipped to an address in Yadkin County, the local sales tax rate is based on where the item is delivered. Online purchases can also be subject to the local sales tax rate.

đźš§ TRAFFIC ALERT: OVERNIGHT ROAD CLOSURES đźš§

Yadkin County has received communication from the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) regarding planned overnight traffic impacts at the US 421/US 601 interchange.

đź“… Friday at 8:00 PM through Saturday at 7:00 AM

During this time:
• The US 421 off-ramps in both directions will be closed as needed.
• US 601 between Beroth Drive and Sharon Drive will be closed to through traffic as needed.
• The closures may be intermittent to allow signal and road-painting crews to safely move through the interchange and complete their work as quickly as possible.
• The US 421 on-ramps are expected to remain open throughout the night, barring unforeseen circumstances.

⚠️ Please plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and use caution when traveling through the area. Traffic patterns will be changing as crews work to complete the project.

📢 Friendly Reminder: Board of Commissioners Meeting

Good afternoon, everyone!

This is a friendly reminder that the Board of Commissioners will meet on Monday, August 17, 2026, at 7 PM.

There will be three public hearings held during Monday’s meeting. If you would like to speak during a public hearing, please sign up on the appropriate sign-up sheet located in the Board of Commissioners Room. Public comments will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis according to the sign-up sheet.

As always, members of the public are welcome and encouraged to attend our Board of Commissioners meetings. Your participation and involvement in our community are greatly appreciated!
