Welcome to the Yakima Valley, FIRA! is proud to host this incredible Ag-Tech conference this October. Hosting this event is a major step in solidifying the Yakima Basin as the premier Agriculture Producing Region AND Agricultural Technology Hub. Let the innovation flourish! ๐ŸŒฑ

The ambitious team effort to pursue bringing FIRA from California to the Yakima Valley was lead by our amazing team at the Yakima County Development Association lead by Jonathan Smith and Joe Schmitt. Our community stakeholders played a huge role, including Washington State Department of Agriculture, U.S. Department of Agriculture, WTFRC, Perry Technical Institute, Yakima Valley College, YCDA Board Members, State Fair Park, Yakima Valley and many industry growers and suppliers. Proud to stand with our Sheriffs and the constitutional right that each of us have as citizens to elect and hold them accountable. Yakima County Sheriff's Office

Four Washington state sheriffs have joined in a lawsuit against SB5974, the bill which allows a sheriff to be removed after decertification by an appointed committee. I, and our state association, fully support the lawsuit.

The issue is not accountability: it is the ability of voters to retain local control.
