🔥 Garage Fire Safety Tip

Garages often store some of the most flammable items around the home—fuel, oil, paint, propane, and other chemicals.

✅ Store flammable liquids in approved containers
✅ Keep propane cylinders outside the garage whenever possible
✅ Reduce clutter around ignition sources
✅ Store fuels and chemicals in a detached shed away from the home if possible

A little prevention can go a long way in protecting your home and family.

🚨 Burn Restrictions Begin Monday, June 1 🚨

The Yakima County Fire Marshal has issued annual burn restrictions for unincorporated Yakima County effective June 1 through August 31, 2026.

❌ Residential outdoor burning of yard debris, ditch banks, and other non-recreational materials is prohibited.

✅ Recreational fires are still allowed in approved fire pits and campground devices.

✅ Agricultural burning may still be allowed with a permit from the Yakima Regional Clean Air Agency.

Please help us spread the word and reduce the risk of wildfire during the summer months. Reminder we are accepting yard waste "Chip it, Don't Burn it" May 30th, June 27th, and July 18th.
