Chef Nikki couldn't resist the infectious energy of the afternoon, stepping out from the kitchen to join in on the fun during Gary Malner's lively music performance. With a smile on her face, she took residents by the hand and turned the dining room into an impromptu dance floor. The dining room buzzed with excitement as the timer started for the first ever Highgate Yakima Chopped Competition. Led by Chef Nikki, Shanae and Cara worked quickly with the list of ingredients they were given to prepare a simple dish. Shanae scrambled to build a towering nacho plate with a homemade cheese sauce while Cara followed with a bright, refreshing salad. In the end, residents and team members could not pick just one, so both shared the winner's circle! 😊

Armed with his acoustic guitar and expressive voice, he seamlessly guided his audience through a curated setlist of timeless classics and familiar sing-alongs.
