Yesterday was national walk to school day! Yale elementary students and staff participated in this national event and had a wonderful walk to school yesterday morning.

Yale Police Department is honored to be a part of this movement. Safe Route to School initiatives help ease traffic jams and air pollution, unite neighborhoods, and contribute to students' readiness to learn in school.

We want to say a big thank you to Amber Wood from Women's Life Chapter 810 for dropping this box of treats off for the officers to enjoy. The officers have enjoyed the snacks!!!

Tomorrow starts the school year of 2023-2024!🎓As our Bulldogs get ready to ride the bus or drive to school, the police department wants to remind everyone to slow down and be safe. Be sure to stop at the buses stop signs, slow down through town and keep your eyes peeled for those little excited bulldogs crossing the streets.

We wish our community the best, and safest school year to come. Go Bulldogs!!! 🐶🐾

Please share this page and get the word out there. We have not been able to access the old page in some years. Therefore, we decided it was time to create a new one. We hope to use this page to educate, listen, and enhance our relationships with the city that we love and serve.

A little bit about us:

Our department is lead by Chief Warren Head and Assistant Chief William Black. We currently employ 3 full time officers and eight part time officers, including an SRO for Yale School District.

As the page starts to gain followers we will be spotlighting each officer within the department. We feel it is important that our citizens know the people who serve to protect them.
