Yale City Council will hold a special meeting on Monday, June 1st 2026 at 7:00 PM at Yale City Hall, 111 W Mechanic Street, Yale MI 48097.

The Elmwood Cemetery Board is looking for volunteers to assist in a clean-up this Sunday, May 3rd from 11:00AM- 2:00PM, in an effort to get our beloved cemetery looking pristine for Memorial Day. Interested volunteers should bring gloves, shovels, rakes, loppers, wheelbarrows, and any other tools that may assist in clean-up efforts. In the event of inclement weather, the clean-up will take place on May 15th. Any questions may be directed to Elmwood Cemetery Superintendent, Tammy Hazel at (586)306-0555.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING

The City of Yale will hold a public meeting on the proposed Yale Wastewater Upgrade Project for the purpose of receiving comments from interested people. The Meeting will be held at 7 pm on Monday, April 27, 2026 at Yale City Hall, 111 W. Mechanic Street, Yale, MI 48097. The purpose of the proposed project is to correct design and capacity deficiencies in the facultative lagoon system. Project construction will involve lining aged wastewater piping city-wide, reduction of I&I, upgrades to 3-cell lagoon, lift-station and interceptor. Impacts of the project include correction of State of Michigan compliance issues and creation of adequate capacity for intended use. The estimated cost to users for the proposed project is $20 per month. Copies of the plan detailing the proposed project will be available for inspection at City Hall, 111 W Mechanic Street, Yale, MI 48097. Written comments received before the meeting record is closed at 4:00 pm on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, will receive responses in the final planning document.
