If passed the November Bond would include additional driveways for Farrell-Emmett and Avoca Elementary Schools. The driveways would be added on our existing property and will make for safer drop off and pick up for students and parents.

The Yale Education Foundation (YEF) awarded their Fall grants which support a number of innovative, engaging things going on across the district. The awarded grants ranged from sensory items, writing supplies for after school programs, a 'chompsaw', to digital photography supplies and more.

YEF was formed in 2025 to support the great work going on in our classrooms by providing small 'mini-grants'. These mini-grants supplement the outstanding things our staff do each do and we greatly appreciate the support of our community as we raise funds for YEF.

YEF's Fall fundraiser was a 'cow plop' event which raised over $3,000 to support our students. We also greatly appreciate the support of the Veldman Farms for supplying their cow(s) for this event.

In the pictures you will find some of our YEF Board members with the staff that submitted the grant and some students that will benefit from these mini-grants. Our next granting cycle is in February.

Our Bulldogs continue to show that great things are happening at Yale Public Schools! These results reflect the hard work of our students, the dedication of our staff, and the support of our families and community.

Congrats to our Bulldog Marching Band!

Congratulations to the Marching Band at their Band Festival Competition last night at Bad Axe HS. They received a first division rating which is the highest rating given! They represented Yale very well, it was a great night to be a Bulldog!

What would this bond proposal cost me?

If approved, the 2026 bond proposal is projected to result in a ZERO MILL net increase over the 2025 debt levy. The bonds would be paid off over 14 years.

We are thrilled to share that our district has been awarded a $388,000 grant from the State of Michigan to expand our local Career and Technical Education (CTE) offerings over the next three years!

Our goal is to give 10th–12th grade students hands-on exposure to high-demand trades before they decide to apply for TEC or launch their future careers.

What’s coming for our students:
High-Tech Simulators: Practice with state-of-the-art simulators and trainers for heavy equipment (skid steers, forklifts, excavators) and welding.

Hands-On Trade Skills: Learn the basics of home plumbing (sinks and drains), electrical work, simple welding, and drywall essentials.

Design & Innovation: Explore Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and 3D printing with modern tools.

Facility Plans:
If the November 3rd bond proposal passes, we plan to house the simulators, 3D printers, CAD software, and clean manufacturing in the updated Media Center space. The hands-on welding, carpentry, drywall, and electrical training will be located in our current Geometry in Construction space.

Timeline:
We will spend this school year planning and ordering equipment, with plans to have the new class fully operational for students next school year!
