Dam N Back Trek

Dam N Back Trek Racers will face cold water and the current of North America's longest river as they jam up river for 5 miles and then return to the start to claim prizes.

The May 2 Dam N Back Trek has it all: free camping the night before, a National Park river cleanup in the morning, then a 10-mile race on icy Missouri River water. Safety is priority and a 5-mile jaunt against current with 50-something-degree water temps early in May might frighten some folks. We hope they will volunteer. For those who like the idea of seeing what they got against the strength of

the Mo River in May, come take on this sprint-distance up-and-back event. It's part of a weekend's-worth of Yankton, South Dakota Missouri River events. Dam N Back Trek - be part of the first one!

• The cost for participation is $36 for each person. • The entry fee covers insurance, T-shirts, finisher medals and a few top prizes for the fastest finishers. • All non-motorized craft are welcomed to take part.
