Yankton Community Library Books are just the beginning! Established in 1903, Yankton Community Library is one of the oldest libraries in South Dakota.

Our library strives to maintain a diverse, dynamic collection along with timely services and programs. The staff prides itself on providing quality library service to all patrons. The mission of the Yankton Community Library is to uphold the public’s freedom of access to information by providing a dynamic collection in a variety of formats and technologies, and responding to the needs of the community through timely services and programs.
