Planning and Development District III

Planning and Development District III Planning and Development District III is a voluntary association of county, municipal and Tribal governments.

Its mission is to provide comprehensive development assistance to its membership and the private sector. The district offers a full range of services that help the region maintain public services and expand economic opportunities. The association is governed by a committee of elected officials, non-profit organization representatives and business interests. The district employs a professional staff with extensive experience in a variety of development and technical fields.

Planning & Development District III has completed the 2024 Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS). The CEDS is a 5-year strategy-driven plan for regional development. It is the result of our regionally owned planning process designed to build capacity and guide the economic prosperity and resiliency in our 15-county region.

Please review the CEDS document and send all comments to Eric Ambroson at [email protected]. The 30-day public comment period will be open until September 22, 2024. Once all comments are received, the document will be finalized and submitted to the Economic Development Administration (EDA).
