This is National EMS Week, a time set aside to recognize the commitment of the thousands of First Responders, EMT's, Advanced EMT's and Paramedics in South Dakota and across the nation who carry the pager and are ready to respond to the call at a moment's notice. EMS providers face overwhelming stress in unimaginable environments day after day, yet they keep coming back despite low pay, odd hours and physically demanding work. To EMS providers near and far, we say THANK YOU for making a huge difference in so many people's lives! Shout out to our EMS neighbors who have supported or assisted us, including Vermillion, SD Fire EMS Department, Tabor Fire & EMS, Tyndall Ambulance, Menno ambulance, Viborg Ambulance, Springfield Ambulance, Crofton Volunteer Fire & Rescue, and Hartington Ambulance And finally, our fabulous First Responders at Gayville Fire and Rescue, Volin Fire & Rescue, Irene First Responders, Lesterville Fire & Rescue, Yankton County Search and Rescue and (Lewis and Clark) Lake Area/ Yankton Volunteer Fire Department. HAPPY AND SAFE EMS WEEK!
