Wood County Precinct 1 Road & Bridge offer our deepest condolences to Deputy Pollard's family, friends, and colleagues of The Wood County Sheriff's Office.

Please stand along side us, and pray for everyone affected by this tragic loss. Deputy Pollard was an outstanding officer, and will be deeply missed.

If you do not receive an answer, please call Wood County Sheriffs Office nonemergency number at 903-763-2201 so they can get in contact with us. We have not been issued cellphones at this time.

Our family would like to cordially invite the residents of Wood County to join us tomorrow for the Swearing-In Ceremony for Pct. 1’s Commissioner Elect, Justin Bowring. All are welcome! Please come out and introduce yourself and meet Justin if you have not had the chance to.

We appreciate all of the support we have received over the past several months! Justin steps in to office and begins work on January 2nd. He has many visions and goals for the next 4 years, and we are all eager to see them come to light. He is honored to continue to serve the Wood County residents in this new elected position. To everyone who has supported me, and helped this be possible, my family and I just want to say Thank You! We owe the biggest thanks to God though!

We WON! I am truly looking forward to continuing to serve the amazing citizens of Wood County Precinct 1! We have so many plans to put in to place, and lots of work to do. I am looking forward to getting to work along side the other great Commissioners, and learning new ways to better our Precinct.

With this election coming to an end, I just wanted to say a humble "Thank you" to everyone who has supported me since November. This has been a learning experience for me, and I am so honored to have had the help and support I have received over the months.

No matter the outcome of this election, I am honored to have had the chance to get out and meet all the great folks of Precinct 1. I have learned more than I could have ever imagined.

I had the pleasure of attending the Veterans Memorial at the Wood County Courthouse this morning it was heart felt of the soldiers we have lost protecting our Country, for our freedom. After leaving there I past through our County lake and observed people of our county enjoying the lake. Which the lake roads and banks need to be addressed in more ways than one. When elected as Pct. 1 Commissioner, there will be a need of lots of addressing in drainage and road repairs and I will be starting there. I know we don’t have an unlimited budget, but I will use the budget accordingly to make as much progress as can be done with the budget given. To prepare for the next year to get as far as we can to improve Wood County as well as Pct. 1.
I have been a lifelong resident of Wood County and have served Wood County as an operator at Pct. 1 County Barn for a year in 2012 prior to going to the Wood County Sheriff’s Office where I am serving today. I did leave the County for 3 years while I started a police department at Yantis Independent School District to protect our children in the county. That is my main goal as Commissioner is to be a voice of the citizens, and do all I can to make Wood County Great Again. Please cast your vote May 28th for Justin Bowring Commissioner Pct. 1

Good Evening,

I just wanted to take a few minutes and reintroduce myself to our new followers. My name is Justin Bowring and I am running for Wood County Precinct 1 Commissioner. I was born and raised in Yantis, and currently reside there with my wife Heather and our 6 children.

My passion and reason for running is to continue to serve our county. I am currently an Investigator at the Wood County Sheriff's Office. I have past experience working for Precinct 1 County Barn in the years before I attended Police Academy. I have experience working on our roads and bridges, and budgeting experience.

My current employment position allows me to be actively driving the roads in our precinct, and seeing firsthand how our roads are suffering. The drainage issue is a huge problem and causing our roads to erode. The ditches will require new culverts in some areas, but most just need to be pulled and cleared.

Another reason that I am running is to bring transparency to the Commissioner's court and allow the taxpayers of Wood County to be aware of what their tax dollars are being spent on now and in the future.

I am respectfully asking for your vote and support during this runoff election, on May 28th.

Good Monday Morning!

Over the past few days, I have been out and about speaking to the citizens of Wood County. I have been told by several people that they were unaware that I was in a runoff election with Mr. Dunn.

During the original election on March 5th, neither myself nor Mr. Dunn received 51% of the votes. Therefore this led us to a runoff.

With this being said, if you have a yard sign or banner placed in your yard, please feel free to leave them up until after the runoff election on May 28th. If you have already discarded them, or require a new one, please let us know so we can get that replaced for you. We also have a large shipment of banners that will be in sometime this week if you would like to switch out your yard sign for a banner.

I am asking for your continued support during this runoff election and respectfully ask for your vote in the primary election on May 28th.

Please help us spread the word that this race is not over and that I am still fighting to better Precinct 1. I am looking forward to bringing my experience and leadership to Precinct 1 and getting the honor of being the voice for our citizens.

Let's work together and make Precinct 1 Great Again!!!!!!!

With that being said, I am asking for everyone's support on May 28th. There will be a run off elcetion between myself and Randy Dunn. Yall's support was definitely shown.
