Summer is here, and boating season is officially underway! ☀️🚤

Before heading out on the water, take a few minutes to review these important boating safety tips. Wearing a life jacket, checking conditions, staying sober, and having the proper safety equipment onboard can help make every trip a safe and enjoyable one.

Have fun, stay safe, and enjoy Suffolk County’s waterways responsibly this summer! 🌊

Water safety starts before you enter the pool. ☀️🌊

Close supervision, secure barriers, and knowing what to do in an emergency can help save a life. This summer, Suffolk County Department of Fire, Rescue and Emergency Services encourages everyone to learn CPR and basic lifesaving skills through their local Fire Department or EMS agency.

The actions you take in the first few moments of an emergency can make all the difference.
