FD was dispatched to Quarry Road in the area of Afton Elementary School for a large tree that took down primary wires and a pole blocking the roadway at the onset of severe storms this evening. FD also had to extinguish a brush fire down the road at Quarry Court.

YMFC members had a busy day on Thursday, 7 calls for service varying from dwelling fires, brush fires and fire alarms. Then in the evening members were out on the river practicing boat operations in preparation for our boating course later in the month.

Sunday evening YMFC members while out handling a possible apartment fire were dispatched for a vehicle fire in the parking lot of St. Ignatius Church. Engine 0 arrived and went in service with assistance from Rescue 80s crew. We had a big audience being this happened during the parish annual picnic! Thank you to LMT PD and YMFC Fire police for assisting with traffic and crowd control.
