Are you eligible for the Council Rock School District and Pennsbury School District Rebates? Applications are now open through June 30th, 2027.

✅ STEP #1: Have you completed the PA Property Tax/Rent Rebate Application (PA 1000)?
✅ STEP #2: Have you received your check or direct deposit from the state?

If so, you can apply for an additional school district rebate using the form provided at the links below or through our office

To qualify for a rebate or discount, applicants must make no more than $48,110 in income annually. They must be 65 years or older, a widow/widower over the age of 50, or permanently disabled and over the age of 18.

Pennsylvania is taking another important step toward protecting its wildlife and natural resources. The Pennsylvania Game Commission and Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission have released a draft Wildlife Action Plan for public review. The non-regulatory plan provides a long-term framework for conserving native fish and wildlife, protecting important habitats, and addressing threats to species that need the most attention. The draft identifies 858 Species of Greatest Conservation Need, including birds, mammals, amphibians, reptiles, fish, and hundreds of species of invertebrates.

Public input is an important part of the process, and Pennsylvanians are encouraged to review the draft plan and share their comments, concerns, and recommendations. The plan was developed by the two agencies and conservation partners using information about Pennsylvania’s wildlife, habitats, and conservation needs. Comments can be submitted through the public comment process here: https://www.pa.gov/wildlife-action-plan.

Public comments will be accepted through September 19. Whether you have expertise in conservation or simply care about Pennsylvania’s wildlife, forests, waterways, and natural resources, this is an opportunity to make your voice heard and help shape the Commonwealth’s future conservation efforts.

Congratulations to Lower Makefield Police Officer Steve Markle on earning recognition as one of the nation's top-ranked artistic pool player. It's an impressive accomplishment and a testament to the dedication and discipline he brings both on and off the job.

Bucks County cop Steve Markle is the No. 1-ranked U.S. artistic pool player, with 175M+ trick shot views and a 2023 national title.

🌊Making a SPLASH!

Liz and I attended the opening of PlayaRaya, an inclusive recreational campus for kids and adults of all abilities. 🌊

Located in Holland, PlayaRaya serves all the communities of the Council Rock School District and beyond. First Lady of Pennsylvania Lori Shapiro cut the ribbon, with PennDOT PA Secretary of Transportation Mike Carroll also joining in the event.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is hosting a job fair from 8 a.m.-noon Saturday, Aug. 8, at the Bucks County PennDOT Office, 6160 Potters Lane, Pipersville.

The University of San Diego Journal of Climate and Energy Law published my article, co-authored by me and our former House Insurance Committee research analyst Joseph Keller, How States Can React to the ‘Summer of Flooding,’ Increase Flood Insurance Coverage, and Improve Flood Resiliency.

The article draws upon the work of the Pennsylvania Flood Insurance Premium Assistance Task Force and provides a framework for other states to mitigate flood risks, improve awareness of flood risks, and stabilize or reduce flood insurance premiums. The Task Force itself was created by my bill that passed in the House and Senate and was signed into law by Governor Josh Shapiro at the Yardley Inn. Sen. Steve Santarsiero and I worked together on the bill in the Senate and House, and Senator Santarsiero and I served on the Task Force, along with two other legislators, and representatives of The Pennsylvania Insurance Department and Governor Shapiro’s Administration.
