Wrapping up some of our summer programming with the (giving away trade secrets) beach ball & sharpie exchange! Such a great way to remember a class & have the kids leaving with a cute favor.

Learned this week that royalties from this song were paid to Dolly (the original songwriter) who then in turn purchased a piece of land in Whitney's hometown. She used these (millions) for the purchase & called it "the house that Whitney built" in the 12 South district of Nashville.

Answering the "why" is always important for us. It refocuses. Sets the bar. Centers us on the beam. Has us dig deeper, and moves us forward with more conviction than ever before. Don't forget where you came from.

Move back to your hometown. Then leave it better for the next generation. Don't forget who helped you pull it together along the way...

(If any of this was easy, it would have been done before). September, our hearts are wide open!

July has a funny way of passing by. Time does fly when you're having fun. A quiet moment late at night gives us a moment to reflect:

Whether you're someone who over programs every minute- or plays it cool with "less is more" through the summer- or maybe you're somewhere in between & just treading water one day at a time.

One thing is for sure, when someone this evening asked my daughter "what's your favorite sport" and her (overly confident) response was, "swimming" then, well, it stops you in your tracks.

Our summer swim team has looked different than last year, but the relationships and partnerships that we've been (quietly) building (over the last 1.5 years) are the fabric of this Cape community. We are waking the Cape. We can't wait to share more.

This project was always around the simple things that bring people together. Shared spaces. Water. Sport. Family. Thankful for friendships, sisterhood, and motherhood too. Carrying on a legacy. Happy Birthday, mom! ✨
