Flip day is always a big day. Everything went smoothly and to plan. With all of the welding under the deck done its time to frame and get ready to set deck plate!

The welding continues! With everything tacked together, we TIG weld the entire exterior of the hull. It may be tedious and time-consuming, but we believe it makes a big difference in the overall quality of the hull.

Once the outside of the hull is fully welded, we’ll move inside, where all of the framing below deck will be welded in place before the hull is flipped.

As custom aluminum boat builders, we don't really fit the mold—and neither do the boats we design and build.

Annie Mae is the perfect example of what "custom" really means.

Every build starts with an idea. That idea evolves into a design, and through countless hours of planning, and fabrication, it becomes a finished boat. We do our best to capture that journey along the way, but at the end of it all, everything leads to one day: launch day.

It's the day she gets her first taste of the water. The day her owners step aboard for the very first time. And the day we get to see months of hard work come to life and watch her perform exactly as she was built to.

This is a little glimpse into that day.

After a successful launch, sea trial and delivery of Annie Mae yesterday, the crew is right back at it assembling the framing for the next build on the chopping block, a 28' x 9'6" work boat specifically designed for aquaculture.

Launch day for the Annie Mae, a custom FC 27. We couldn't have had a better day. Thank you to all involved especially her owners for trusting us to design and build their dream boat! Congratulations and welcome to the Fogg's Boatworks family!

The custom 27 Annie Mae left the barn today and headed off to Casco Bay Yacht Sales to get her new Yamaha engine hung and rigged! It won't be long until launch and sea trials.

Shop update:
Things have been busy in the shop with wood work, systems and finishes going in on the new custom 27. Marine Electric once again with a bang up job on the electrical installation. We also delivered a new 16 foot Foggskiff and a prototype fabrication project in the last few weeks. Work continues on the 34 foot sport fishing vessel with all foam and most of the bottom plate removed. We have also started prepping material for an upcoming 28 foot Oyster boat. Happy friday, we hope everyone enjoys their weekend!

Delivery day for this Foggskiff 16 outfitted as an all purpose work boat. Delivered to Camden, headed to North Haven island. We cant wait to see her outfitted. A big thanks to our customer and looking forward to seeing it in action!

Its been a while, but the shop has been busy. The new FC 27 is getting ready for primer next week with barrier coat on and final prep taking place!

A new Foggskiff 16 is underway that will be used as a work skiff getting her deck plate set.

Also pictured is a small prototype we are fabricating for a local company.

Wattson is off to its new home in Spruce Head! We are excited for launch and trials of this work skiff featuring an all electric propulsion system by . Thanks to and for making this project happen. We look forward to seeing her go to work on the waterfront.
