The Village has issued a peddler's license to Karel who will be in the Yates City area for the next two days.

The work has been completed for today and water has been restored. The Village remains under a Boil Order until further notice. Thank you for your continued patience.

⚠️ WATER SERVICE & BOIL ORDER UPDATE ⚠️
Monday, August 10, 2026 4:21 p.m.

Water service has been restored. The Village is now under a Boil Order until further notice.

During the boil order, water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, or preparing food should be brought to a rolling boil for at least 5 minutes and allowed to cool before use.

Please also be advised that the water will be shut off again tomorrow morning, August 11, 2026, as crews continue the necessary work. At this time, we do not have an estimate for how long the water will be off.

We will provide additional updates as more information becomes available.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding while this work is being completed.

⚠️ WATER SHUTOFF UPDATE ⚠️

Monday, August 10, 2026

Crews have completed the necessary excavation and are preparing to shut off the water within the next 30–45 minutes.

At this time, we do not have an exact estimate for how long the water will remain off. We will provide updates as more information becomes available.

⚠️ PLANNED WATER SHUTOFF – MONDAY AUG 10 ⚠️

Residents, please be aware that the water is expected to be shut off for a period of time on Monday, August 10th.

Crews will be excavating first, so we do not have an exact time for the water shutoff at this point. We will be contacted once they are getting closer to the point when the water needs to be shut off.

We apologize for not having a more specific timeframe available. As soon as we receive additional information, we will post an update.
