Legal assistance for seniors (60+) at the library this Thursday around lunch time! - they were here last month and seemed nice, if you have any questions or concerns it might be a good opportunity.

Community forum to meet the candidates for police chief this Saturday at Mt. Vernon M.B. Church starting at 3:00 PM

We're still trying to find a good way to share events community members tell us they care about without getting spam-y. Maybe a weekly or twice monthly round up like this? We're taking suggestions!

The Mississippi Access to Maternal Assistance program put together a list of wish lists for pregnancy resource centers across the state for Mother's Day, and they were pleased enough about how it went that they reached out to ask us to share it: https://attorneygenerallynnfitch.com/virtualbabyshower/

We've been meaning to share something about their resource hub anyway, so this is a good opportunity — at https://www.mama.ms.gov/ you can see different resources for new or expecting mothers. There aren't many in Yazoo yet, but hopefully that changes over time!

The nice young lady from their office we've been talking to is going to be attending our job fair next week to talk about their other services if anyone is interested.
