Congratulations to Re*****on Douglas and Sam Davis on competing in the State 4-H invitational shoot. Both participated in the shotgun division.

Re*****on won 3rd in trap, 3rd in sporting clays and 3rd overall and will be on Mississippi's National team that will go to Nebraska in June of 2027

Yazoo County 4-Hers have been busy the past few weeks. This is the group of 4-Hers that went to Winona to the North State Cookout contest.

Riley Powell 1st place Sr. Chicken and he went to the State Poultry contest to compete to represent Mississippi in the National Poultry Cooking Contest. He placed 4th in the State contest
Tanner Vandevere won 2nd place in Sr. porkchop
Hayden Odum won 2nd place in Jr. porkchop
Britt Powell won 1st place in Jr. porkchop
Kyle Harris at his first Cookout Contest won 1st place Jr. prestigious steak

The Yazoo County Livestock Show banquet will be next Friday January 16th at 6 pm at the Benton Academy gym. If you didn't purchased a membership from a 4-Her and you would like to attend you can purchase one at the door the night of the banquet.
Membership are $25 for the immediate family members to eat the BBQ meal at the banquet . If you can’t stay for the banquet you can get 2 to go plates with a membership, additional to go plates are available for $10each.

The livestock show will start at 9 am Saturday January 17 at the barn at 2131 Gordon Ave.
Admission is free .
We will have under 8 year old showmanship open to all kids under 8. All you have to do is sign up at the awards table & we will find you an animal to show.
We have new warm bathrooms.
We will have a concession stand with hot chocolate, coffee, BBQ sandwiches & other stuff.
Come out to support Yazoo County 4-Hers .
