Just finished reading the latest Spotswood book. It’s the 5th book in the Pentecost and Parker Series. Detective stories set in the late 1940s. Enjoyable reading. Best to start with the first in the series - “Fortune Favors the Dead”.

New non-fiction book by Wil Haygood. He’s also the author of The Butler, Tigerland and many more. Wil is from Columbus - almost a local author.

Last nights Author event was a huge success. Both Ross and Janan were engaging speakers and the audience left happy and with a new book.

Forecasting a big snowfall over the next few days. Time to get the firewood ready and most important, find plenty of good reading material at your local library. Louise Penny is a favorite in our household. The Grey Wolf and Black Wolf are both excellent - do read them in order. Do you have book suggestions for the dark days of winter?
