TBT: Today we're highlighting the designer and the builder of the Yellow Spring. The current design of the spring came from Louise Odiorne, and was realized by Carmelo Ricciardi. Over the 77 years since their work concluded, over two billon gallons of water have poured over the spring, leaving behind calcium and iron, and further shaping it.

On behalf of the staff of the Raptor Center, we would like to share our condolences with the friends and family of a true friend to wildlife Ms. Dolly Parton. Did you know that the Raptor Center receives no State or Federal funding for the hundreds of sick and injured birds that seek medical care at our clinic? We are open 365 days a year to receive birds in need and rely on the generous support of individuals such as these in order to provide life-saving attention and send these birds back to the wild as often as possible. PLEASE join me in saying thank you. Without their support, we could not do what we do. Interested in joining us on September 6th? We have a few tickets remaining!

TBT: How do we have so many old images of Glen Helen? Ralph Ramey, who was the director of the Glen between 1973-1990, is a big part of the answer. Ralph was an avid photographer and kept a sizable curated library of slides. He is seen here with his trusty slide sorter.
