Today, we celebrate the 100th year anniversary of the hiring of the 1st African-American Police Officer in the Yonkers Police Department, Patrolman Thomas Brooks #206. When we say we stand on the shoulders of giants who came before us, it starts with him. Patrolman Brooks was an officer who had many achievements and his share of struggles as being the first. He also earned the respect and admiration of his coworkers and his community. Though it has been a century, Patrolman Brooks continues to pave the way for many “firsts” after him. We remember, honor, and share his legacy.

DMX once said “it’s a blessing to be a blessing” We recently partnered with the Hogue Foundation for our 1st Annual Charity Carwash. As a result of all the support from our community, we were able present the Hogue Foundation with check (blessing). The idea then was presented that both organizations use the profits to reinvest into our community. An incredible event, an incredible partnership. More to come in the near future…….stay tuned!

The Yonkers Guardians will be hosting our Second Annual Charity Cigar Night at Mom’s Cigar Warehouse (1119 Central Park Ave Yonkers, NY).
Open Bar/Buffet with the food catered by Suggarplums (New Rochelle, NY).

Tickets are priced at $120+ Taxes/Fees which includes a Premium Cigar Bundle with purchase.
Last Year’s event was a HUGE success!!! Please purchase your tickets EARLY as space is limited and this event WILL SELL OUT!
Proceeds from the event will go towards the continued great community service the Guardians provide to Our City!

The Yonkers Guardians will definitely be getting busy this Juneteenth.

Come out for a day of a little fun competition between Yonkers Guardians (Police) and Yonkers Vulcans (Fire Fighters) in a game of soft ball.

It’s free and we will be honoring fathers of special needs children .
