We’re getting closer!

Our move to 28 Wells Avenue is officially underway, and while services remain temporarily virtual only, we’re preparing a new center designed with our students in mind. Soon, you’ll find enhanced support services, welcoming spaces, and new opportunities to connect, learn, and move forward.

What does it mean when we say we are invested in our students’ continued growth? It means supporting them beyond the classroom and helping them feel prepared for what comes next. 💙

Our dedicated counselor Nelson Martinez created a workshop to support recent ESOL graduates as they transition into the CNA Program. CNA is a demanding program, and making that transition while continuing to build English language skills can feel daunting.

Creating pathways for advancement within WEOC is something we’re committed to prioritizing and strengthening. Providing students with the tools and support to take their next step is part of that work.

Kudos to our team for creating opportunities that help our students keep moving forward! 🙌

Session 4 of our Professional Development workshop series focused on belonging within our student community and the impact our communication can have. One key takeaway: approach our students with curiosity, not judgment. Ask questions. Listen. Seek to understand.

Today we are putting professional development into practice! 🙌

Session 3 of our workshop series focused on motivational interviewing, with a hands on activity that gave our team the chance to try it out for ourselves.

Why does it matter? Because the way we communicate can make a real difference in how people feel heard, supported, and empowered to make decisions for themselves.

There were plenty of laughs along the way, too. 💙
