April is Autism Awareness Month

We kicked things off this morning with a pre-parade breakfast at our good friend Bruce’s—great food, great company, and the perfect way to start the day.
From there, we headed to McLean Ave in Yonkers to march along “The Emerald Mile” as guests of the Police Emerald Society of Westchester—an honor to be part of such a proud tradition.

The Yonkers St. Patrick’s Day Parade is one of the premier Irish celebrations in the US. The parade itself traces its roots back to the 1800s, paused during both World Wars, and was revived in 1956—growing ever since into the massive community event it is today.
Marching through one of the most historic Irish-American neighborhoods in New York—where generations of families have kept the culture alive—makes this parade something special every year.

Proud to represent, proud to march, and proud to stand alongside our brothers and sisters in blue.

Marching down Fifth Avenue today in the New York City St. Patrick’s Day Parade is always an incredible honor for the Westchester County Corrections Officers Emerald Society. ☘️
We were proud guests of the Police Emerald Society of Westchester and had a day filled with tradition, camaraderie, and unforgettable moments at the oldest St. Patrick’s Day Parade in the World.
