As we celebrate the 250th anniversary of America’s independence, we honor the courage, sacrifice, and enduring spirit of those who secured the freedoms we enjoy today. Their legacy continues to inspire the values of service, unity, and resilience that define our nation.

Today, we also thank the dedicated men and women of the Yonkers Fire Department who are spending this holiday away from their families, standing ready to protect our community.

Today, Local 628 recognizes Juneteenth, a day that commemorates freedom and honors the resilience, sacrifices, and contributions of those who helped shape our nation and communities.

As we reflect on our history, we recognize the importance of unity and the courage that has helped strengthen our communities and advance progress for future generations.

This Saturday night!!!

Doors open at 5:00 PM at the Westchester County Center, with the event kicking off at 6:00 PM.

Firefighters and police officers from across the area will step into the ring to raise money for Brother 2 Brother and Hope for Heroes. Local 628 will be proudly represented by FF Jamal Epps as he enters the ring for a great cause.

Come out and support, enjoy a great night of boxing, and help raise money for an incredible cause.

Members of Local 628 were proud to volunteer and BBQ at Enrico Fermi School’s Field Day, helping make their first Field Day in 24 years a special one for the students and staff. Thank you to all of our members who took the time to come out and help make the day a success.
