As a library, we recognize the importance of preserving history, amplifying diverse voices, and creating opportunities to learn from the past. Juneteenth is a time to celebrate freedom, honor the resilience and achievements of Black Americans, and reflect on the ongoing pursuit of justice and equality.

This Juneteenth and Pride Month, join us in exploring the intersection of Black and LGBTQ+ history.

Discover the stories, movements, and communities that have shaped history through an engaging discussion tomorrow, June 18th.

Together, we'll explore the significance of the Stonewall Riots, the impact of ballroom culture, and other pivotal moments in Black LGBTQ+ history. Participants will also receive educational materials and resources to continue learning beyond the program.

As we commemorate Juneteenth and celebrate Pride Month, we invite you to reflect on the enduring contributions, resilience, and activism of Black LGBTQ+ communities.

Join us for a FREE virtual genealogy program on Tuesday, June 16, from 6–7 PM to learn how to research ancestors who served in the Continental Army, supported the Patriot cause—or even fought as a British Redcoat!

You'll also learn about the application process for the Sons and Daughters of the American Revolution.
