Susquehanna of York Haven has an ace up its sleeve...
A Traffic Ace, that is!
Over 30 years in Police work; 40 in the Fire Service, 17 in EMS - plus a Fire Academy Instructor.

Last night over a dozen from multiple FDs trained in incident scene management - a refresher and also something new... We want to make the public's contact with us a positive event, so we keep on training!
Thanks to the retired 911 / PSP Dispatcher, the retired Springettsbury Lieutenant, the retired NYCRPD who went rogue to Newberry Township then into the US Government as a police officer, plus the former EMT at the Manchester Ambulance for volunteering in the support roles to make the program better.
Plus a shout-out to Newberry Twp PD who accidentally stumbled into the mock crash scene thinking he'd found a crash before it was dispatched!!!

Be extremely cautious today as fire can easily spread. Avoid open burning and properly dispose of cigarette butts.

ELEVATED RISK of WILDFIRE spread late this MORNING through early THIS EVENING

From the National Weather Service in State College: A combination of very warm temperatures, low relative humidity in the 20s (percent), dry fine fuels and leaf litter, and a moderately gusty southerly breeze in the teens will create an elevated risk of wildfire spread today across the portion of Central Pennsylvania from around Interstate 80 south to the Maryland Border.

WHEN: The period of greatest potential for wildfire spread will be
between 11 am and 7 pm today.

WHAT TO DO: Residents are urged to exercise caution if handling any potential ignition sources, such as machinery, ci******es, or matches. If dry grasses and tree litter begin to burn, the fire will have the potential to spread rapidly.
