Here's the solution to one of my own business problems. Every year around this time, I spend a HUGE amount of time scanning the websites of school districts, Intermediate Units, and Cooperative Purchasing Groups all over PA. We're talking 30-50 sites per year, multiple times, trying to catch when RFPs and bids are posted for art, STEM, and other supplies. I frequently miss opportunities. There are several paid "scraping" sites for schools that I could use, but 1) I don't really want to pay for multiple sites, and 2) I have no control over which districts are being scraped by their tools. As a small business, I like working with the smaller districts, and having some discretion in which districts I support. So, I built my own custom scraping tool!
I can now keep an on demand list of every district I want to check, review custom results on an easy-to-use dashboard, and see every relevant bid with one click of the scan button!
