Are you looking for community service hours or would like to volunteer? The township will be holding our second annual Community Clean Up Day on Saturday, April 25th from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

Safety equipment will be provided. All participants will meet at the township office on 3200 Farmtrail Road at 8:00 a.m. and will then leave with their roadside assigned team.

This is open to all volunteers 12 ages and up. If you have questions, please call the office at 717-764-4646.

Street sweeping will begin the week of March 23, 2026, weather permitting.

Street signs will be posted 24 hours prior to service. If you have any questions, please contact the township office at 717-764-4646.

Please be advised that Monday, July 22nd and Tuesday, July 23rd, Locust Lane Road will be closed to traffic from the Susquehanna Trail to Lewisberry Road to install water lines. This will be a 24 hour closure.

Depending on construction progress, the road may also be closed on Wednesday, July 24th as well.

Alert Fire Company located at 3118 N. George Street has a cooling station set up for residents without power and in need of relief.

Please be advised that due to the high temperatures, Penn Waste will begin service earlier than usual. It is recommended that you put your containers out the evening prior.

The Board of Supervisors is offering a Zoom option for residents to virtually attend the regularly scheduled monthly meeting. The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at 6:00 pm.

The virtual option is view only and does not provide a forum to ask questions or discuss matters of interest. Residents are encouraged to attend in person if they have questions or concerns to present to the supervisors.

Collection Update - 4th of July Holiday

During the week of July 4th, Residential Penn Waste collections will be delayed one (1) day on Thursday and Friday. Thursday (7/4) customers will be collected on Friday (7/5).

Friday customers will be collected on Saturday. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday customers are not affected by the holiday.

Manchester Township will be closed in observance of the 4th of July. Our office will open on Friday, July 5th under normal operating hours ( 8:00 am - 4:30 pm).

Sewer bills can be placed in our drop box.
