Please be advised that the playgrounds will be closed for scheduled maintenance at the end of the week. During this time, we will be applying a playground surfacing revitalizer to improve safety and extend the life of the play area. We know these are popular spots, and we appreciate your patience and understanding while we make improvements as we work to keep our park safe and enjoyable for everyone!

BOARD OF SUPERVISORS VACANCY
WEST MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP

The West Manchester Township Board of Supervisors is accepting letters of interest from any registered voter who has resided in West Manchester Township for at least one (1) year, for an appointment to serve on the Board of Supervisors. The appointed individual will serve the remainder of a current term through December 31, 2027. The vacancy will be created as a result of both Supervisor George Margetas and Supervisor Ronald Ruman pursuing election to the vacant PA House of Representatives seat for the 196th district.

Duties of a Board member include but are not limited to setting policy, enacting ordinances and resolutions, adopting the budget, levying taxes and general governance of the Township to ensure sound fiscal management and to secure the health, safety and welfare of the citizens.

Any resident who is interested in being considered for appointment should submit a letter of interest which contains a brief biography and a list of qualifications or resume’ to Kelly K. Kelch, Township Manager, 380 East Berlin Road, York, PA. 17408 or email ([email protected]) by Monday, May 4, 2026.

TOWNSHIP OFFICES DELAY & PENN WASTE UPDATE
The Township offices will be operating on a delay this morning. Offices will be open at 10 am.

Penn Waste operations are closed today, and will operate on a holiday schedule for remainder of this week. Monday collection will go Tuesday, Tuesday will go on Wednesday, etc. Thank you, and be safe!

OFFICES CLOSED – PRESIDENT’S DAY HOLIDAY
The Township offices will be closed for President’s Day on Monday, February 16th. Offices will re-open on Tuesday, February 17th at 8 am.

Trash/Recycle collection will not be affected by this holiday. Thank you!

Residential Customers:

Due to inclement weather Penn Waste Operations will be closed 1/27/26. We will begin collections with Wednesday (1/28/26) customers and follow a regular schedule throughout the week. Monday and Tuesday customers, we will collect double from you on your next regular collection day.
