On Tuesday, May 19th, we had our Coffee with a Cop event at Central Market. Pullshot Coffee Roasters provided the delicious coffee and the event was coordinated with help from the Center for Traffic Safety.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to take photos, greet us, and ask some great questions. Our wonderful K-9s, Reacher and Victory, made a lot of new friends, but so did Officer Brian Aikey!

This past week, Officer Reinert, Detective Detweiler, Officer Mowry, and Officer Tallarico rode over 262 miles as they completed the Police Unity Memorial Ride. Their final stop was in Washington D.C at the National Police Memorial. This ride was dedicated to fallen officers and stretched over several days with thousands of police officers.

Thank you for all that you do and for your participation in honoring our fallen officers!

On Saturday we held our 3rd annual Cops and Bobbers event at Kiwanis Lake. Events like Cops and Bobbers give kids, families, and officers the chance to connect in a positive way. Community relationships are built one interaction at a time. Sometimes all it takes is a fishing pole, a bobber, a lake full of fish, and a little time together! We would like to congratulate all the kiddos who came out to join us. And to Kha'mysi, who received the trophy for biggest fish caught for the 2nd year in a row!! This year he caught a trout that was 17 1/2 inches!! We would also like to thank Etzweiler Funeral home for all they do to ensure this event is possible! As well as York County York County Department of Probation Services and the York City Department of Fire/Rescue Services

On Wednesday, May 13th, our Downtown team, Officer Kathleen Nice and Civilian Liaison, Gene Fells, grilled hot dogs and provided snacks to the community outside the Downtown Resource Center, 44 W. Philadelphia St. Members from Community Services, Lt. Clymer, Sgt. Crumpton, and our Patrol Division stopped by to assist. Some of our patrol officers taste-tested the final grilled products!

Our Downtown Resource Center is a centralized hub for any concerns in the Downtown area where we can bridge law enforcement with merchants and the community. Stop by to introduce yourselves and meet our team!

It (basically) ended up being a "31 yr old", Countywide Pre-Graduation 🎓 Ceremony for young People being recognized for "Persevering & Enduring" through some of the most Impossible & Improbable Hardships in life, to get to the Beautiful End/Beginning of 📖✨!!! With a large group (of nearly 200 people)... Young People👑: Boys and Girls, of all races, all backgrounds, from various School Districts, families from all over this vast County, and their favorite Social Workers & Teachers (who have painstakingly poured🫗 into their lives)... Gathered together🫂 to Celebrae🎉 this year's Group for Doing Their Part... 🙌🏽Honoring them for continuing to , continuing to , for each and every day and Deciding ("despite their Challenges") they wanted to than they were the Day Before 🌄. So, Thank You to the "Brenneman Family" and ALL the Organizers who continue to make this York Tradition possible🏆, and to each and every School District, Family, and Young Person represented in that room👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽!!!
