Newly-graduated York County 911 dispatcher Trenton Wise (seen on the left) received a certificate and pin for a CPR save he achieved earlier this week.

Trenton said he took a call from a woman whose husband was suffering from a cardiac event. As first responders were on the way, Trenton gave the woman CPR instructions, which he said she followed perfectly. As a result, the man survived.

A big congrats to Trenton for a job well done!

On the right, handing Trenton his certificate and pin is 911 trainer Joe Carpenter.

Newly-graduated York County 911 dispatcher Mary Eyler -- on her third day of taking live calls -- achieved a CPR save when the instructions she gave to a man helped save his wife's life.

Mary, who was taking calls under the watchful eye of Certified Training Officer Matt Kidd, received the call this week from the elderly man, who said his wife did not have a pulse.

Mary conveyed CPR instructions to the man and remained on the line with him until first responders arrived.

The achievement was meaningful to Mary, as she had lost her father to a cardiac event a week earlier.

"It felt pretty good," getting the save, she said.
