Leader in Me Buddy Classes- Mrs. Whitesides’ third graders met up with their kindergarten buddies in Mrs. Lark’s class today.

Student Leadership in Action- Ms. Shiflet’s students deliver staff birthday certificates and fulfill teachers’ supply orders. They then deliver the supplies with a smile. We appreciate their leadership.

We would like to thank Carolina Fresh Farms for donating a new American flag for our school. Our student leaders and SRO will proudly raise and lower the flag each day.

We partnered with YSD’s Parenting Partnerships to host a parent event for 4k and 5k parents called “The Journey Begins.” This event allowed parents to connect with Parenting Partnerships, the Early Connections Bus, our PTO and SIC, and to learn from speech, physical, and occupational therapists about developmental milestones.

We had our first PTO meeting this morning. Here is a quick recap of what was discussed. If you weren’t able to attend today’s meeting, you can still get involved! Our next meeting is set for Friday, September 11 at 7:20. Our first event will be our Grandparents’ Lunch! Look for details in the school newsletter.
