The Department of Justice sued Maine's Secretary of State Shenna Bellows last year, after she denied its requests for voter registration data.

Seacoast Democrats across our five towns join the nation in mourning the loss of Barney Frank who spent his latter years as an Ogunquit resident. He was many things: a skilled legislator, a trailblazer for gay Americans, and a public servant in every sense of the word. Most importantly, he was a good person.

Over the last several years he & his husband Jimmy served us in so many ways: helping with the Mills re-election campaign, ensuring we kept majority in the Maine house, and as a guiding force to Seacoast Dems.

He will be a continual inspiration to us all as we work to serve our party. Thank you Barney- it was an honor & a privilege to work along side you.
