A donor's generous offer sparks a chain reaction! Christy at Roots for Boots connected with us, and now a Veteran in need has a vehicle and reliable transportation!

In 2025, we proudly celebrated 40 years of this extraordinary outreach. Providing dinner during the weekends. Despite operational changes over the years, this outreach continued. We remain committed to filling a need that isn’t consistently met in our community and deeply appreciate all our volunteers that make this possible!

Always remember. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family, friends, and loved ones of Ivan and Zach.

Today, we remember York City Department of Fire/Rescue Services Firefighters Ivan Flanscha and Zach Anthony, who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty on March 22, 2018.

Their courage, dedication, and service to our community will never be forgotten. We honor their legacy and keep their families, friends, and fellow firefighters in our thoughts today and always.

As the winter storm approached, we were heartened by the outpouring of additional donations and extended our hours of operation to further support our community, with our hybrid volunteer services also available for those in need.
