Ralph Braun came up with the first wheelchair accessible van so he could get to work. Things have come so far since then! The The Ralph Braun Foundation helps people purchase equipment for their vehicle. Our mission here at Drive for Independence is to help adults get the vehicle they need to have it converted for their needs. Our focus is helping people with disabilities get to work.

Working in Indiana can be wonderful until the winter weather hits. With snowy days looming on the horizon, Ralph built a more reliable form of transportation that he could drive himself so he could continue to work in town.
