The Administration was ready to have a detailed discussion about the proposed "NO NEW TAXES BUDGET" it was presenting to the council. A budget that creates a general fund balance to create stability in our budget, something that hasn't been achieved in decades.

The budget not only continues investment in public safety, particularly focusing on our parks and school safety corridors, but it also allocates 1.5 million dollars in pedestrian and neighborhood improvements, all paid by grant dollars.

The borough, thanks to DCNR, will address diseased trees that would be costly to remove and will plant 80 trees to maintain needed shade at our parks.

We will continue to support investing in our fire department, including two-man coverage 24/7, 365 days a year, by a paid career driver.

This budget will be supported by every available opportunity we can find to build a better, stronger community.

We are proud of last year's housing development and this year's unveiled 60 new constructions that will bring new revenue to the borough.

We look forward to the opening of the Bakery just around the corner, and we enjoyed grabbing a burger and hand-cut fries at Driftwood at the fair, with more to come.

Private investment has been key to our revival, and we appreciate the folks who invested in our borough.

Our commitment to building a walkable, thriving commercial district is a top priority.

We are announcing a vacancy on the board. Interested applicants can submit their letter of interest to serve on borough council to [email protected] and [email protected] (both). Letters must be received by Saturday 4PM August 1st Applicants must meet the residency requirements to serve.

We tried holding out, but the weather had other plans! Due to the incoming storms, we will not be at Penn and Freedom Parks tonight, 7/10. We will be offering an Art in the Parks lesson at the West York Borough Building again at 1381 W Poplar St, West York, PA 17404 from 6:30-7:30pm and all are welcome to attend!
