Please lift up Columbia Police Department, SC as they are facing the unimaginable. One officer was shot and killed, and another injured earlier today.

Pray for the families of those officers and the recovery of the injured officer.

The York County newsletter came out today, and it had a very special article highlighting one of my colleagues. I am sharing it because if you need to come to the Court or call, you might be comforted knowing that the MOST friendly person in the world will be the first person you see!

She's really talented at knowing who you need to talk to get your question answered. And, of course, she's perfected the art of assisting with a marriage license appointment.

Also, since we are temporarily located at Moss Justice Center, she's gotten pretty good at pointing people towards where they meet with their public defenders even though that's nowhere in her job description.

The following unclaimed veterans from York County, South Carolina, will be laid to rest at Fort Jackson National Cemetery on Friday, August 28, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.

These veterans served our nation in the U.S. Army, U.S. Marine Corps, and U.S. Air Force, and U.S Navy with service spanning from World War II through the Vietnam era and beyond.
