Beth was seeking the abortion pill when she found Human Life Services website. She was not married and had a baby at home, and another child was not in her plans.

Uncertainty about her future with the father of the baby made it all overwhelming. But, needing help and someone to talk with, Beth scheduled an appointment with HLS and she brought the father of the baby with her. During that appointment, Sam was able to hear all her concerns and understood she needed his support and commitment to her and their children.

Sam stepped up and told Beth he wanted to have this child and believed the baby was a blessing from God. As the options counselor listened, she took a moment to share with them, “God doesn’t make mistakes.” Sam started to cry and shook his head. “I cannot believe you just said that, I’ve told her the same thing.” He looked at Beth and said, “I really feel God is in this room because I have told you those exact same words.”

A decision for life was made that day!

Meet David, one of our dedicated volunteer Client Advocates at Human Life Services.

After walking through a difficult season in life, David surrendered his life to God and began building a relationship with Jesus through Bible study and faith. As part of that journey, he felt called to give back through volunteer work, but he wanted something local, personal, and truly mission-driven.
That search led him to Human Life Services.

As a father to a 16-year-old son, David says he cannot imagine life without his child, which makes our mission deeply personal to him. From the moment he met Leona and Danielle and toured our facility, he knew this was where God was leading him.

After completing training, David met his first client about 18 months ago and says his life has been blessed ever since.

“The clients are wonderful people often facing unthinkable hardships, and they need a place like HLS that provides practical support and can become the backbone of their Christian walk.”

David shares that serving at HLS has helped him grow in faith, learn more, and connect with so many beautiful souls.

“If you are looking for a place to donate your time and energy for a good cause, I cannot recommend HLS enough.”
