Save-the-Date(s)! Pioneer Middle School is pleased to announce that we will be continuing with our "Panther of the Month" awards and breakfast celebrations this school year. Students who are nominated each month are invited to the bi-monthly celebration and are allowed to bring 2 guests each to join in on the fun. If your student brings home a nomination letter, there will be directions for how to reserve your place at the breakfast. We look forward to celebrating all of our amazing Panthers this year! 🐾💚🎉

Students will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays after school to participate in interactive and movement activities. The season ends with a celebratory 5K on Saturday, Nov 7 @ Delaware Park. WE CAN’T WAIT TO SEE YOU!
September 1: Parent & Student Orientation is here! We’re excited to welcome our Pioneer families to the start of a fantastic school year!

Here’s What to Expect:
Grade-level presentations will take place at the top of the hour in the cafeteria, followed by a visit to your homebase classroom, where you will:
- Meet your teacher
- Find your locker (and practice the combination lock!!)
- Drop off your school supplies
- Complete our technology user agreements and media consent forms

When you’re done, keep exploring:
- Scholastic Book Fair: Stop by the library and check out the latest books!
- Trolls: The Musical: Head down to the music wing for information about our upcoming school musical!
- PBIS School Apparel Sale: Show your Pioneer pride and check out the latest gear in the foyer!
- Gwenny’s Ice Cream Shoppe: Treat yourself to some ice cream; available for purchase in the foyer!

11:00am-12:00pm: 5th Grade
12:00-1:00pm: 6th Grade
1:00-2:00pm: 7th Grade
2:00-3:00pm: 8th Grade
3:00-5:00pm Professional time for teachers
5:00-6:00pm: Open to all grade levels

Looking for something fun to do after school? After school activities sign ups are now open! We have academic, athletic, creative, and enrichment opportunities for students throughout the week!

-After-school activities begin Monday, September 14
-Activities run until 3:15 PM, with a shuttle bus to each elementary building to ride the elementary buses home
-Students must sign up each quarter
-Only students who are signed up are permitted to attend

* WIN Academy begins September 9. Students recommended by their teachers due to low or failing grades will be required to attend WIN Academy instead of recreational or enrichment activities. Families will receive notification of WIN Academy participation every five weeks.

Back to School Bookfair, Sept.1- Sept. 4; open during Orientation in the library!

The fair encourages students to read AND raises much-needed funds for our school. The easiest way for kids to shop the fair is by creating and funding your child's eWallet. No more worrying about cash, and their balances show right on the register.
