Couple snapshots from last month's Young Writer's Club, where the participants got to learn about idioms like "piece of cake" and "cool as a cucumber." Join us next Monday at 4pm for a new writing activity, as we help young writers unleash their creativity while teaching them technical skills. For grades 3-5; registration required.

What better way to embrace Spooky Season then with a virtual program from paranormal investigator Barry Pirro! Learn how ordinary objects can be haunted in the same way that a house can be; from paintings to jewelry, dolls to furniture, and even musical instruments! Those tuning in will also be able to ask Barry questions about his experience as a paranormal investigator, as well as share/listen to true ghost stories with the group. This is a ZOOM program; please register online to obtain the Zoom link.

If you're a candy lover, this program's for you! With Halloween coming up, we're partnering with a few libraries to bring you a fun history of candy, discussing a different “sweet” for each letter of the alphabet. You can also learn when/why consumption of candy in the United States increased over the years, as well as broader facts and history. While it is a Zoom program, ALL AGES are welcome to tune in (just register on our website to receive the zoom link).

- our fall hours begin THIS WEEKEND, which means we will now be open on Sundays (beginning October 3rd) from 12pm-4pm! Please remember that during renovations, some services are limited and/or temporarily suspended. We appreciate your patience during this time!
Also, the Friends are now accepting book donations between Oct. 1 and Oct. 7 ONLY. Since the main floor of the library is closed off for reno work, donations can be dropped off outside on the porch (find our table) during open library hours. Please remember to leave your donations in a box or bag, and only donate items that are in good CLEAN condition. Thank you for helping us to give your books a new home 📚
