📚 Math in Motion! 🔢

Our fourth graders created human number lines to compare and order decimals! Students worked together to determine where each decimal belonged and used their math reasoning to justify their thinking.

AP Biology students were assigned to design their own water lab. Each group brainstormed and researched a water property to investigate.
Students investigated water density, capillary action, and surface tension with different types of water solutions.

Seventh grade STEM students designed, built, and tested their wind powered “vehicles”. Some were definitely more creative than others. The winner(s) had to go at least 4 feet in the shortest time.

🦈 Shark Tank: Gilded Age Edition! Today, Coach Acree's 11th-grade U.S. History students put their research to the test by pitching Gilded Age inventions to a panel of faculty “Sharks.” Students had to explain their invention, the problem it solved, and why it was worthy of an investment, all while answering questions from the Sharks. A huge thank you to Mrs. Patek, Mrs. Menn, Coach Knostman and Chief Garcia for joining in and helping us bring the Gilded Age to life! 💡☎️🦈

Ms. Sullivan’s kindergarten students practiced counting and writing numbers 1–5 with a fun “Write the Room” activity! Our little Wildcats were up, moving, counting, and learning as they strengthened their number skills. 💛🖤🐾

Ms. Johnson’s fourth graders explored the value of decimals using standard form, expanded notation, and word form during a fun gallery walk! 🖼️✨

Students became “math art critics,” carefully checking each other’s work and giving immediate, polite feedback. They practiced their math skills, learned from one another, and had a great time while doing it! 💛🖤
