Make plans now for Yorktown’s 4th of July celebration.

Start the morning at Civic Green with the 4 for the 4th Race at 8:30a, then make your way to Morrow’s Meadow later in the day for food trucks, live music, and an evening fireworks display.

Food trucks will begin serving at 3:00p. Live music starts at 5:00p with Jansen Duncan, followed by Chameleon Brothers Band and The Collectors. The Town fireworks display will begin at approximately 9:45p at Morrow’s Meadow.

Handicap permitted parking will be allowed in Morrow’s Meadow. All other vehicles should park in nearby school lots or in town.

**Rain Barrel Alert** The MIDY Stormwater Partnership plans to host a Rain Barrel Workshop in Morrow’s Meadow on July 14th at 6:00 pm. There will be limited spots for this event so please contact Laura Bowley or Courtney Pruitt at the number below to get registered. Payment will be due at the workshop. We hope to see you there!

Tiger Drive is currently being milled from the bridge to SR-32. One lane remains open with flaggers directing traffic.

Saturday, Tiger Drive (from SR-32 to the bridge) will be CLOSED starting at 6:30a and is expected to be open by noon.

Please use caution in work zones and allow additional travel time. We appreciate your patience as these improvements move toward completion.

Friday nights on the Civic Green in Yorktown have become a summer tradition, and this week's performance is one you won't want to miss.

This week, the Chamber welcomes Cook & Belle, the husband-and-wife duo of Bret and Michelle Cook. Their sound blends country, soul, gospel, and classic favorites, delivered with rich harmonies and decades of professional experience. Whether performing an intimate acoustic ballad or a crowd-pleasing favorite, they bring a warmth and authenticity that has made them a favorite throughout the region.

Come early and enjoy dinner from Cocoa & Cream Collective and Three Bears Concessions beginning at 6:00p. From handcrafted desserts and baked goods to hot dogs, brats, and chili dogs, there will be plenty of options before the music begins.

The concert starts at 7:30p and is free to attend.

Bring a lawn chair, gather with friends and family, and enjoy another evening of live music, local food, and community on Yorktown's Civic Green.

STEM For Kids Kicks Off In Yorktown This Week!

Science Central’s on-site children’s programming brings hands-on learning and interactive exploration to life throughout the summer at Civic Green. Each Thursday in June and July features a different theme, from What’s the Matter? and Wild Weather to Digging into Paleontology and Inside Fireworks, designed to spark curiosity for budding scientists. Families can join in engaging experiments and fun activities that make science accessible and exciting for all ages. Whether exploring forces, ecosystems, or the science behind food and you, these sessions offer memorable, educational experiences for children in the community.
